The group is looking for a highly motivated and experienced senior postdoc with expertise in Genetics, Epigenetics, Molecular and Cell Biology. The successful candidate will design and carry out experiments to study mutational processes in normal and tumor cells, revealing the interplay between DNA damage and repair. She/he will work using human cell lines and ex vivo models as needed to advance the project. The Biomedical Genomics Lab is a strong interdisciplinary and international research team with complementary expertise in molecular biology, medicine, mathematics, computational biology and software engineering. The research team has unique expertise in the analysis of tumor genomics data. Recent achievements include (see references below): i) genome-wide identification of cancer drivers, ii) translational cancer research, ii) identification of chromatin features that interact with DNA damage and repair processes to affect mutational processes. The research group has a solid dry-laboratory and a newly established wet-laboratory. The research associate candidate will be part of the Experimental Bioinformatics Lab (EBL), together with other postdoctoral fellows.
