Text: How would you like to be part of an industry leading practice in the fastest growing risk management sector? The Marsh Cyber Practice is seeking an experienced lawyer with a Cyber insurance background to develop our next generation client solutions. You would be building relationships with a broad spectrum of clients and insurers for a market-leading, global organisation that can provide long term career progression. We are currently looking to expand our London based Cyber Practice and would be very interested in speaking with top talent from the legal or insurance industry. Department Overview Cyber security and information protection can be challenging for companies of all sizes. Hackers are not the only threat - today’s businesses rely on the internet for services such as online marketing, administrative functions, inventory management, credit card processing, and distribution controls. Any intrusion that disrupts delivery of these services can lead to brand and reputation damage, regulatory scrutiny, stakeholder dissatisfaction, and financial losses. Marsh have taken the data and tools used to insure cyber risk and reshaped them to shine light on how well clients are managing their cyber risk. We call it Cyber Assurance. Unlike a lot of cyber risk assessments, our approach is quantitative, based on statistical models used for underwriting cyber risk that calibrate how risk factors for the firm fit the known probability of breach based on reported cyber incidents. The Marsh cyber leadership means clients gain a strategy that is multidimensional and holistic, and that accounts for the entire enterprise: operations, compliance, legal, finance, communications, and the board of Directors. We define the risks and design an effective cyber risk management programme to help protect each company. Job Purpose Based out of the London office near Tower Hill, the Cyber Product Lawyer will work closely with our cyber specialists in both the UK and New York.
