Position: Developer/Data Scientist - Digital Observatory

Duties: This role will support the Manager and team of the Digital Observatory by applying specialist expertise to research and development activities across a broad range of projects within the Digital Observatory. They will require expertise to develop, extend, maintain and support existing cloud-based software and data infrastructure as well as system accessibility, reliability and performance
Requirements: Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of undergraduate qualifications with at least 3 years relevant experience. Demonstrated expertise across one or more of: data analysis, system administration in a cloud environment, frontend or backend web development, information security practices or database management. Experience in modern Python application development and SQL (or similar). Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proven record of success in implementing software designs and adopting and making recommendations on innovative technologies and techniques
