Experience in statistical analysis using STATA or R. At least one peer-reviewed publication as first author. Knowledge of non-communicable diseases. Knowledge of the South African health system. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MSc or Master’s degree in Epidemiology or Public Health; Background in health sciences or nutrition; Five years’ experience in health science research or implementation science; Experience in statistical analysis using STATA or R; At least one peer-reviewed publication as first author; Driving license. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES): Knowledge of non-communicable diseases; Knowledge of the South African health system; Quantitative and qualitative research skills and data management; Scientific writing and report writing skills; Interpersonal conflict management skills and the ability to work under pressure; Computer literacy with a broad knowledge and experience of MS Office packages, internet, Gmail and all aspects of PeopleSoft or related programmes; Accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality; Appropriate language and communication skills. ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES: Two years’ experience in project management; Two years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation.
