Duties: The College of Engineering at the University of Derby is committed to developing the next generation of high-achieving scientists, technologists and engineers. In partnership with Bloc Graphic Limited, we are seeking to recruit a Data Scientist to work on an exciting time constrained Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) Project, funded by Innovate UK. This KTP seeks to embed knowledge and expertise into Bloc Graphic to introduce capability to develop a system which will take a live data stream from a source data system and parse it so that it can be visualised instantly in a virtual environment
Requirements: You must be a graduate with a PhD in Computer Science or relative subject or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills (including report writing and presentations), strong analytical and numerical skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues. Most critically, you must have the nuance to efficiently manage the project from conception to completion within the stipulated time and financial constraints

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - This full-time post is part-funded by the UK Government’s KTP programme. A KTP is a three-way project between a graduate, an organisation and a university. KTP is one of the UK’s largest graduate recruitment programmes and has been placing graduates on challenging, high profile projects for over 39 years. The Associate will be fully supported by a Company Supervisor from Bloc Graphics Ltd and an Academic Supervisor and Lead Academic from the University of Derby.
