The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary project team investigating the development of AI techniques for Human-Like Computing, applied to critical decision-making in both Homeland Security and Financial Markets contexts. The post is funded by the EPSRC Digital Economy programme and is a collaborative project between Brunel University London and Cranfield University. Project partners include Bioss International, Dstl MOD and Roke Manor Research Ltd. We are looking to recruit an outstanding Research Fellow in AI with data analytics, statistics and coding capabilities. Candidates with a Bayesian statistics background are particularly welcome. Candidates are expected to have: (i) a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline, and (ii) outstanding research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a cross-disciplinary team. The post may involve travel, both in the UK and abroad, and the post holder will need to work closely with our academic team and research partners.
