Position: Medical Radiographer

Duties: Will assist with the day-to-day organization of daily staff assignments, management of patient flow, coordination with in-patient floors and referring physicians to ensure that quality care is rendered according to the needs of individual patients by the MRI Radiology Department. Provides technical directions and guidance to personnel within work team. Will be responsible for mentoring staff, review of work performed, assistance with protocol questions and communication of information from department management to the staff
Requirements: AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration and ARRT(Must obtain within 1 year of appointment), a minimum of 5 years progressive technical experience, plus current CPR certification required. Registration certification for Contrast Injection required (Must obtain within 3 months of appointment)

Full-Time Percentage 100 Job Standard / Operational Needs Will assist with the day-to-day organization of daily staff assignments, management of patient flow, coordination with in-patient floors and referring physicians to ensure that quality care is rendered according to the needs of individual patients by the MRI Radiology Department. Provides technical directions and guidance to personnel within work team. Will be responsible for mentoring staff, review of work performed, assistance with protocol questions and communication of information from department management to the staff. Will be the liaison with the night shift to ensure a smooth turnover and communication at the change of shift. Provides input to management for budget preparation and capital equipment recommendations. Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergencies. Complies with all quality assurance, customer focus, infection control, safety and all policies and procedures with the department. Willingly performs other duties as requested. Minimum Qualifications AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration and ARRT(Must obtain within 1 year of appointment), a minimum of 5 years progressive technical experience, plus current CPR certification required.
