Needed content areas include: Business: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Statistics. Education: Assessment & Learning, Curriculum & Instruction, Diversity, Historical Frameworks & Organizational Models, Instructional Technology, Research Methods. Human Services: Diversity, Family Studies, Legal Issues, Research Methods. Theology and Biblical Studies
Requirements: Earned doctorate in discipline in which you want to teach is required. Must be available to teach one evening per week for on-site and/or blended courses. Some courses are also available in the online format. Teaching assignments are not available every semester, only as needed depending on the class size. Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern; and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, doctrinal statement and Declaration of Christian Community
   
Text: Position Summary Position Overview Responsible to provide excellence in teaching through the fulfillment of the mission and strategic goals of the College of Graduate, Online & Adult Learning (C- GOAL ). The Office of Adult & Graduate Studies (A&GS) offers accelerated programs in various formats allowing individuals to complete their Master’s degree by attending class one night per week onsite, online or in a blended course structure. The University of Northwestern - St. Paul is authorized to hire in the following states: AZ, CO, ID, IL, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MS, NE, NC, ND, NJ, OH, SD, TX, WA, WI. References will be checked upon scheduling interview. What will I do in this position? Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teach assigned courses Interact with students via discussion forums, classroom presence, etc. Help students succeed in their courses Respond to student questions and concerns in a timely manner Grade student assignments/papers in a timely manner Abide by all university policies Successfully complete Best Practices in Online Teaching training course Because our community is a significant part of our mission and the development of our students, all employees act as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ by actively partnering with colleagues of the University to disciple students to help grow intellectually and spiritually and to partner with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers to mature in their faith. What will it take to succeed in this position? Minimum Education and Experience: Earned doctorate in discipline in which you want to teach is required. Previous teaching experience with adults and online instruction is preferable but not required. Must be available to teach one evening per week for on-site and/or blended courses.
