Position: Actuarial Trainee

Duties: Actuarial Trainees are expected to move between functions to develop competence in the different Actuarial activities carried out within Unum. The 5 principal activities are Valuation & Regulatory Reporting, Actuarial Systems, Capital & Risk Management, Product Development & Profitability and Financial & Experience Analyses
Requirements: Graduate or Actuarial Student. Basic knowledge of Unum Actuarial activities. Basic knowledge of Unum’s products. Basic knowledge of Unum’s systems and databases. Basic understanding of FoxPro and Excel software. Highly numerate Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liase with and lead teams, ensuring excellent levels of verbal and written communication at all times. Motivated, enthusiastic and enquiring. The ability to work under pressure, managing own time to meet tight deadlines and managing competing and conflicting demands within your workload
