The successful candidate should have a strong research and teaching background in one or more of the following areas: Robotics and autonomous systems, including people-centric robotic systems, autonomous vehicles, and cyber-physical systems. Interaction design, specifically relating to teams of robots and humans Artificial intelligence, including machine learning and data analytics techniques, computer vision, and deep learning systems. Human Machine Interaction, including human-computer interactions, socially assistive robotics, and interactions with intelligent systems. As Lecturer in Interactive Robotics you will: Supervise postgraduate research students and contribute towards the establishment of research infrastructure in the School. Have excellent teaching as evidenced by student feedback and teaching observations. Contribute to curriculum and programme developments in line with the School strategy. Develop independent research in a relevant area, and appropriate collaborations with external academic and industrial partners. Contribute to the research activities of the Group and the School; Produce high-quality outputs in line with the research strategy and expectations of the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, and apply for external research funding; Contribute to the development of our courses and to promote research-informed teaching; Be committed to the provision of equal opportunities and to the delivery of digital media modules to a diverse body of students; To be successful in this role you will have: A PhD in the relevant area Expert knowledge in relevant research areas, such as Robotics, AI, or HCI.
