Duties: We are now seeking suitably qualified applicants for the post of HPC Scientist & Computer Manager to support teaching and research and in the growing School. The role holder will manage School’s HPC cluster and other computational resources and software (including undergraduate computer classes and research workstations), provide highly specialist HPC support to academic staff on research projects and support to teaching staff in computer classes
Requirements: Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. A PhD (or equivalent) degree relevant to HPC. Relevant professional practice. Extensive HPC user experience. Extensive experience of Unix operating systems. Scientific programming experience in Fortran, C or C++. Training others in computing. Technical working knowledge of HPC and other computing equipment. IT equipment management skills
