Duties: “ASTUTE 2020” (Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing Technologies) is an established operation that has followed a successful formula for operation since 2010 and has earned a strong reputation for the quality of its industrial collaboration. It focuses on companies in West Wales and the Valleys. “ASTUTE EAST” is a new operation that deals with companies in East Wales. The two operations are designed to stimulate growth in Wales by applying advanced engineering technologies to manufacturing challenges driving cutting-edge research and innovation, enabling projects with manufacturing companies, to generate sustainable, higher value goods and services and bring them to a global market
Requirements: Have a first degree in Engineering/Science with through understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics coupled with a wide range of industrial applications
   
Text: Project Assistant/Project Officer Computational Engineering Modelling (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Expiration date: 27-Aug-2018 Salary Project Assistant: £28,936 to £32,548 per annum, Grade 7 Project Officer: £33,518 to £38,833 per annum, Grade 8 Together with USS pension benefits The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service). Main Purpose of the Post Applicants are invited for the position of Project Assistant/Project Officer on the ASTUTE 2020 and ASTUTE EAST operations in the College of Engineering, in the area of Computational Engineering Modelling with emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics. “ASTUTE 2020” (Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing Technologies) is an established operation that has followed a successful formula for operation since 2010 and has earned a strong reputation for the quality of its industrial collaboration.
