Competitive applicants will have a record of research excellence, as well as a demonstrated potential for outstanding teaching. The position is open to all research areas of mathematics, with a particular focus on scholars who will enhance the department’s existing strengths in Analysis, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Probability/Statistics. Department or Program Summary The Department of Mathematics is a diverse and growing department with strengths in Algebra, Algebraic Geometry, Analysis, Differential Geometry, Geometric Analysis, Mathematical Biology, Number Theory, Topology, and Probability/Statistics. The department has a thriving Ph.D. program with approximately 65 graduate students, 33 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 5 postdocs, and 14 lecturers. We particularly welcome applications from scholars who are from populations historically under-represented in the academy, and/or who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Minimum Requirements Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field with an established outstanding record of research, and evidence of teaching ability.
