Duties: The person in this position will perform technical assistance directly relevant to the overall programmatic goals of the lab. Specific duties will include assisting others in the laboratory and performing general laboratory maintenance and record keeping. Other duties include assessing laboratory inventory, ordering lab supplies and equipment as necessary, keeping an accurate record of research account budgets, maintaining regulatory and safety protocols and records, maintaining a basic understanding of relevant literature, participating in weekly lab meetings, and attending departmental seminars
Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) years of progressively responsible related professional research experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree in an appropriate related scientific or engineering discipline may be substituted for up to one year of the required work experience
