Major responsibilities include: collaborating with dental investigators in development, execution, and report of clinical, basic science, translational, and population-based research, with involvement in research, teaching, mentoring, and service. Will conduct independent methodological research that can be directly applied to dental research. The position is available July 1, 2018. Education Requirement: Applicants must have: PhD in Biostatistics, or PhD in Statistics with significant emphasis in biomedical applications, related post-doc training preferred; Required Qualifications: track record or productive independent and collaborative research; track record of effective conduct of research as part of a multidisciplinary team; evidence of effective teaching; effective biostatistics consulting skills; experience working effectively in a diverse environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and effective interpersonal skills. Desirable Qualifications: Desirable qualifications include experience: participating in externally-funded grant projects; teaching health science student biostatistics and research design; mentoring student research; analysis of high-dimensional data; and statistical genetic analysis/analysis of data from genetic epidemiology investigations. Other desirables include: strong record of scientific publication and presentation at professional meetings; and knowledge of dental nomenclature and classification.
