Position: Senior Research Associate - Derived Localisation in Algebra and Homotopy Theory
Institution: Lancaster University
Location: Lancaster, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Duties: The area of the proposed research is homological and homotopical algebra; it has connections with algebraic topology, noncommutative ring theory, algebraic geometry and category theory. The main theme of the project is localisation of rings or categories done in a homotopy invariant way. The project seeks to extend the notion of derived localisation of differential graded rings to differential graded categories and monoids in Quillen closed model categories.
