The Centre for Psychiatry in the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine focusses on prevention and treatment of mental illnesses, translation of research into public health strategies and practice- all to reduce premature mortality and disability and promote mental health and wellness. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time (1.0 FTE) post-doctoral Researcher working on an innovative research programme on: The recognition and treatment of depressive illness in renal dialysis patients: the role of inflammation. The project includes clinical epidemiology, using electronic and clinical records, data analysis, project management and delivery of the overall project with a team of senior researchers. The research fellow appointment is a fixed term appointment for 2 years. The starting salary will be £32,956 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
