You will have a track record of publications in epidemiology or cardiovascular disease or a relevant clinical area, and. Experience of analyzing large datasets. Text: Reference Number SMED0397 Job Title Statistician College/SASS School of Medicine School/Directorate Molecular and Clinical Medicine Grade Please refer to advert Job Category Research Closing Date 29 July 2018 Full Time (1FTE) or Part Time (0.75FTE) Grade/Salary: Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 (Pro-Rata for Part Time) This post would suit an ambitious IT bio-statistician with experience in data management and quantitative analysis to carry out Information Research in Cardiovascular Disease (CVD). The focus of the post is the successful analysis and interpretation of data linked by EDRIS/Safe Haven. As part of the Molecular and Clinical Medicine Division the post holder will supervise and have the support of a small team, mainly data processors and work within the Safe Havens of EDRIS and HIC (UoD Health Informatics Centre). The post holder will carry out statistical analyses and present the findings from studies and other work at conferences and meetings adhering to data protection policies. Although the post is identified as being based in Ninewells, Dundee there is an opportunity to work remotely if appropriate set ups are completed and regular contact with Professor Belch is maintained. The discoveries of the staff within the School have led to new ways of diagnosing and treating major diseases such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. This research has changed clinical practice and informed government policy and health guidelines. This in turn informs their exciting curriculum which produces well-rounded graduates equipped with the skills, knowledge and professional attributes to work within, shape and lead healthcare delivery in the 21st century.
