The post holder will also be responsible for postgraduate research support, service statistics and data analysis and some subject liaison duties, including cataloguing and classification
Requirements: A first degree or postgraduate qualification in the field of information & library management. Chartered member of CILIP. Experience of working in an academic library. Experience of academic subject liaison. Experience of supporting students at university level. Knowledge of cataloguing and classification principles. Experience of training others in specific tasks, providing demonstrations or explanations as required. Significant experience of using a broad range of computer packages and online resources

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all of the Library’s discovery services including online catalogues and resources, resource authentication, reading list management, our research repository, and scanning services. The post holder will also be responsible for postgraduate research support, service statistics and data analysis and some subject liaison duties, including cataloguing and classification. Candidates are expected to prepare for any unscheduled technical failure on the day (e.g. a website being down).
