Position: Research Fellow

Duties: To be an active member of a research team assisting with Stratified Medicines programme - the UK Refractory Asthma Stratification programme (RASP-UK). The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team with the goal of conducting clinical trial bio-statistical analysis including day-to-day management of a large multicentre clinical trial database, interim analysis and reporting of safety and outcome data to Investigator team and Trial Steering Committee. The post will also include computational, hypothesis-driven applied clinical research in respiratory disease using large existing clinical datasets
Requirements: 1. Have, or about to obtain, a PhD in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics or a related area. 2. At least 3 years recent, relevant research experience. 3. Publications commensurate with career stage. 4. Willingness to teach postgraduate/undergraduate students. 5. Ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes. 6. Contribute to the School’s outreach programme by links with industry, community groups etc. 7. Sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. 8. Ability to communicate complex information clearly. 9. Ability to build contacts and participate in internal and external networks
