Position: Senior Analyst - Actuarial

Requirements: Position requires college degree with at least a minor in mathematics, statistics, computer science or equivalent business experience. May have an ASA designation or has completed five + courses or the equivalent # of courses toward the eventual attainment of the Fellow, Soc of Actuaries (FSA). Familiar with the development of rates, rating plans, pricing strategies, reserve programs, and fin forecasts. Typically requires four years of professional actuarial experience

Creates, maintains and produces timely various standard analytic reports for internal and/or external use. Develops evaluation and financial reporting standards. Directs, prepares, performs and analyzes research and audits. Develops, calculates and checks policy values. - Analyze changes in provider reimbursement terms and recommends more cost efficient alternatives. Responsible for comprehensive and accurate peer review of other analyst work product. Develops, extends and maintains profit studies, forfeiture values and GAAP, reserve programs, rate files and procedures. Calculates profit studies, net premiums reserves and non-forfeiture values and assists in preparing actuarial portion of financial reports and tax returns. Coordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses to assist in the development of complex actuarial formulations leading to the recommendation of pricing strategies and loss reserving. Provides consultation and clarification on actuarial models and risk issues. Maintains documentation of actuarial analysis, and may assist in preparing the actuarial portion of fin reports and tax returns, and responses to insurance regulators.
