Position: Beamline Scientist

Duties: For the SwissFEL Athos project we are looking for a Beamline Scientist for the experimental station of Athos dedicated to ultrafast dynamics studies on condensed matter and quantum materials. Develop and extend XFEL experimental techniques in ultrafast dynamics on condensed matter and quantum materials. Contribute to the design, commissioning and further development of the experimental station. User support for experiments. Original research in time-resolved phenomena. Coordination of the work with internal and external collaborators. Collaboration with academic and industrial Partners
Requirements: You hold a PhD degree in experimental physics with expertise in ultrafast X-Ray techniques. Sound knowledge of resonant elastic or inelastic X-Ray spectroscopy, scattering, X-Ray absorption spectroscopy and/or other related techniques are required. The suitable candidate has an excellent research publication record
