This part-time post is designed to support Dr Valentina Gallo in the delivery of the BRain health and healthy AgeINg in retired Rugby players (BRAIN) study. The successful applicant will join Dr Gallo’s research group, and also interact with the Global Health Unit, a multi-disciplinary team of academic staff and the Centre of Primary Care and Public Health as whole. The successful applicant will work mainly assisting Dr Gallo in the daily management of the BRAIN study, in collaboration with the BRAIN team (at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - LSHTM and Institute of Occupational Medicine - IOM) The successful applicant will ideally have some experience of epidemiological research, quantitative data analysis and review of the literature. The post is part-time (0.3 FTE) and fixed-term for 20 months, starting in July 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range of £30,445 to £32,093 per annum pro rata, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave pro rata, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
