Position: Web UI Designer (Web Administrator/Developer 2)

Duties: You will create and maintain user interfaces for our custom web applications, and designs for our static sites. You will work with customers and team members to gather requirements and create specifications, then implement, deliver and maintain user interfaces and designs. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining mobile-first designs and templates, managing branding/style guides, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and performing usability testing. You must be able to deliver ready-to-use HTML and CSS for your designs. Your sites and web application interfaces will support organizations throughout the laboratory and you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients within the laboratory. Requirements: Minimum Job Requirements: Expert proficiency in HTML5 & CSS3; Expert proficiency in front-end frameworks such as Foundation; Ability to create wireframes & mockups; Ability to deliver ready-to-use HTML & CSS; Ability to implement designs and interfaces following Section 508 accessibility guidelines; Demonstrated experience creating user interfaces for mobile-first web applications; Understanding of the practicality of designs and interfaces when it comes to implementation; Excellent customer service, collaboration and communication skills; Desired Skills: Experience with UX/UI tools such as Adobe XD; Experience with graphics design tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Experience designing logos, icons and other graphics; Experience working in a Content Management System such as Django CMS; Experience with web analytics software such as Google Analytics; Working knowledge of client-side JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Education: Position typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
