Position: AVP & Senior Director, Portfolio Manager, Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction

Duties: Serve as a portfolio manager, i.e., the chief point of oversight on funds in the asset class assigned to the person fulfilling this role Provide ongoing thought leadership and investment performance insight on existing platform/managers and prospective managers/subadvisors Work closely with portfolio management and analytics teams at external managers to intimately understand investment strategies, investment processes, teams, incentive alignment, risks, factor exposures, and reporting analytics and how it all impacts Lincoln’s Product, Pricing, and the Market Risk Management teams Conduct regular on-site due diligence visits with investment managers in the selection and monitoring processes to ensure that investments are managed in accordance with investment policy guidelines Key contributor to risk management process across Lincoln’s investment business, including analyzing fund attribution and factor exposures, derivatives exposures and risks, potential impacts to Lincoln’s variable annuity hedge program, product pricing impacts, etc. Work with other portfolio managers and analysts on the Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction team to provide insight/analysis/guidance on the optimal use of different investment strategies within broadly diversified portfolios Regularly report analysis and findings (written and verbal) on the existing platform as well as prospective managers/strategies to internal constituents, governance committees, the LIA Board and the LVIP Board Provide competitive intelligence, analysis and comparisons on an ongoing basis Manage relationships with senior level representatives of investment managers, external consultants, asset allocation providers and research firms Execute duties as a member of the Fair Valuation Committee of Lincoln Investment Advisory Corp (“LIAC”) Serve as member of the Investment Committee, Derivatives Committee and Asset Allocation Committee of Lincoln Investment Advisory Corp As a senior member of Funds Management’s investment team, responsible for providing thought leadership, investment expertise and supporting the ongoing development of the Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction team Conduct in-depth investment reviews directly with senior/executive level representatives of Lincoln’s clients (plan sponsors, consultants, distributors, advisors, etc.) on an ongoing basis. Stay abreast of evolving industry trends and work with product partners to ensure Lincoln’s investment offerings remain competitive and in line with Product and Pricing assumptions Provide investment expertise related to fund offerings to the Investment Support Desk and Marketing, as needed Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines; complies with all company and site policies and procedures Educational Undergraduate Degree or 4 years of comparable work experience MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred FINRA registration preferred Experience 10 years of experience in Financial Services, with primary background in investments, manager due diligence and/or investment management, with a focus on equity markets. Strong equity market background across multiple geographies (domestic, non-US developed markets, emerging markets, etc.) Knowledge of capital markets products, financial statements analysis, and accounting principles Understanding of equity derivatives Understanding of attribution and risk management concepts and experience with leading measurement tools (Factset, Barra, Barclays POINT, Blackrock Solutions, Bloomberg and/or other similar tools) Expertise in fund industry research and analytical tools required (e.g. Morningstar, Lipper, Zephyr, eVestment Alliance, or other similar tools) Skills in portfolio construction, asset allocation, modern portfolio theory, risk management and hedging Background in life, annuity and retirement products Knowledge in Funds Management functions - e.g. due diligence, ’40 Act funds, subadvised and other investment structures/regulations Ability to effectively use research/analytic tools - for analysis, selection and evaluation of investment options Ability to communicate investment concepts to a variety of audiences Investment and Insurance/Annuity industry knowledge Known and trusted by peers and investment partners in industry Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite Successfully completes regulatory and job training

The Senior Director level investment professional within Funds Management’s Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction team will be a key driver of the research and due diligence efforts across Lincoln’s manager-of-managers platform covering fixed income, equity and multi-asset strategies. The Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction team provides investment expertise and insight regarding the due diligence, selection, oversight and replacement of fund managers and sub-advisors for the various investment options across Lincoln’s various product lines (Annuities, Retirement Plan Services and Life). This team oversees assets totaling approximately $180 billion, of which approximately $70 billion resides in Lincoln’s proprietary multi-asset class mutual fund family, the Lincoln Variable Insurance Products Funds (“LVIP Funds”). The person fulfilling this role will be a senior member of the Manager Selection and Portfolio Construction team within Funds Management that is responsible for manager selection/due diligence processes/monitoring of managers, portfolio construction, delivering reports to the LIA and LVIP Boards regarding the investment performance of the aforementioned funds and governance of investment processes and intiatives. This role will regularly interact with Lincoln’s senior management, the Lincoln Investment Advisers (“LIA”) Board, the LVIP Board of Trustees and internal product/investment committees.
