Duties: Maintain a strong funded research program in a field related to aging and health; Mentor junior and mid-career faculty in research on aging and health; Lead the expansion and integration of UNE’s research in aging by developing opportunities for interprofessional collaborations, thematic advancement, and infrastructure support; and Engage with clinical partners, regional core facilities, and existing investigators to develop and expand aging research. Collaboratively develop and implement a strategic plan for the Center as a visionary research community, consistent with the values and mission of University
Requirements: A PhD, DO, MD, Pharm D, DMD, or other advanced degree(s), including other clinical doctoral degrees, plus a minimum 5 years of relevant administrative experience; Credentials and track record commensurate with the academic rank of full or associate professor with tenure in the candidate’s field; Experience in identifying and securing research support from diverse sources such as foundations, private and corporate donors, and/or federal grants; Record of scholarly accomplishments such as refereed publications, technical reports, books, and grants; Experience with strategic planning and long-range project coordination; Experience successfully mentoring junior and mid-career research faculty; and Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, project management, and communication skills to facilitate the work of diverse interprofessional groups
