Position: Registrar/Principal House Officer - Cardiology

Duties: To provide high quality, evidenced based care to Cardiology patients of The Townsville Hospital. Provide supervision of junior medical staff including inpatient care and responsibility for teaching junior medical staff, medical students, nursing and allied health staff
Requirements: Degree Qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution and hold Current Registration as a medical practitioner or eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Successful completion of at least two years post registration training. Knowledge of current medical practices and issues, and evidence of an appropriate level of expertise in the skills of the Cardiology discipline. A desire to undertake theoretical and practical training in the cardiology. Ability to review, analyse and evaluate patient care for the identification of appropriate treatment and investigations. Sound theoretical knowledge, practical skills and ethical behaviour required of a medical practitioner
