Duties: Contribute to academic units of study appropriate to your professional expertise. Teach students in ways that respond to learner needs and engage learners in the development of their knowledge and skills. Work with the Director of Practice Learning to actively contribute to quality monitoring activities in relation to the practice learning environment. Act as a key point of contact for students and mentors in practice directing students to internal/external sources of support as appropriate
Requirements: Registered Paramedic on the appropriate part of the HCPC registration with live registration. Recognised teaching qualification. Doctorate in relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience

Courses within the School of Healthcare Practice are concerned with initial professional registration in Nursing, Midwifery and Operating Department Practice. This post has been created to support the newly developed paramedic sciences degree course, which commenced in September 2015. The successful post-holder will take responsibility for the leadership and implementation of the course, working collaboratively with local NHS Trusts who support students with practice learning. The role involves working with colleagues across the University to deliver this exciting and innovative course.
