Duties: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic graduate to join the Planning Office team in Kingston University. Working with team of experts you will support the University’s Data Insight project in using statistical analysis to inform university decision-making. The post-holder will encounter data from throughout the university’s span of activities and will learn about the evolving policy of the higher education sector
Requirements: The ideal applicant will have completed a first degree in a discipline with substantial mathematical content. Degrees in maths, computer science, psychology and economics are all good examples but degrees from a broader range of disciplines will be considered, especially if the applicant can describe quantitative analysis they conducted in pursuit of their degree. This developmental role will be attractive to graduates seeking careers in management information, business intelligence or in the higher education sector. Candidates who can combine good communication skills with their capacity for data analysis will have opportunities for career progression within the University

Directorate The Planning Office reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and is responsible for co-ordinating the University’s strategic planning function, for overseeing external data returns and for analysing developments in the HE sector. We are currently leading a Business Intelligence project and are working with the Finance department to create a joined-up planning and budgeting procedure.
