The PhD study will focus on how methods of artificial intelligence can be applied to tackle challenges of productivity and customer experience in the hospitality sector. The successful candidate will be expected to master a broad range of theory in artificial intelligence and services management, and employ novel research methodologies to measure human - robot interactions in various hospitality settings. In your application you will need to offer a formal proposal that documents how you will draw on AI and robotics theory and methodology, and how you plan to apply this to the hospitality domain. Knowledge of programming languages and tools, such as Python or Coreographe, is a plus. They will have outstanding research potential and enthusiasm to pursue research in the specified research area. Non-native speakers of English will normally require IELTS 7.0 or above with a minimum of 6.5 in each component (or equivalent). Students are initially registered for a PhD with probationary status and, subject to satisfactory progress, are subsequently confirmed as having PhD status.
