Position: Craftsperson - Electrical

Duties: A qualified and experienced Electrician is required to work within the Estates Department undertaking planned and reactive maintenance to the University’s estate. You will independently carry out assigned works involving all aspects of electrical building services, systems and installations, planning and selecting appropriate materials to comply with current British standards and Health and Safety legislation, completing relevant documentation on electronic and paper systems as required
Requirements: Candidates should have demonstrable post qualification experience in electrical installation and maintenance, have a working knowledge of the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and be qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Electrical Installation Parts 1 and 2 or NVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent qualification) and City & Guilds 2382, 17th Edition Regulations (or equivalent) Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive between University Sites a full current driving licence is also required unless disability precludes this

You will independently carry out assigned works involving all aspects of electrical building services, systems and installations, planning and selecting appropriate materials to comply with current British standards and Health and Safety legislation, completing relevant documentation on electronic and paper systems as required.
