Area of specialization is open; candidates should be well versed in German Studies with the ability to teach a broad range of German language, literature, and culture courses from the Enlightenment to the present. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per year, maintaining an active research program, and participating in the shared governance of the Department and College. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to teach in the broader College curriculum through interdisciplinary courses and our First-Year Seminar program. Qualifications We seek an outstanding teacher who is able to relate to and inspire undergraduate students. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach across disciplines and connect to other departments and programs.
