Requirements: Candidates hold a doctoral (PhD) degree in Mathematics for A6 and in Mathematics or Mathematical Physics for B4. They have a strong background in partial differential equations, are open minded, active and have good English language skills

For the Institute for Analysis at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), we announce as soon as possible 2 Postdoctoral Positions (f/m) in Mathematics and Mathematics/Mathematical Physics Job description: We seek two postdoctoral researchers for CRC 1173 “Wave Phenomena: Analysis and Numerics” for projects A6 “Time-periodic solutions for nonlinear Maxwell equations” and B4 “Effective characterization of optical metamaterials beyond a local response”. Qualification: Candidates hold a doctoral (PhD) degree in Mathematics for A6 and in Mathematics or Mathematical Physics for B4. They have a strong background in partial differential equations, are open minded, active and have good English language skills. The position is limited for two years. The remuneration occurs on the basis of the wage agreement of the civil service in TV-L E13. KIT is pursuing a gender equality policy and encourages women to apply.
