The successful candidate is expected to conduct world-class research and to contribute to teaching at all levels. Applicants with strong research records in the areas of modeling, simulation, and the development of numerical and computational methods are welcome. This includes, in particular, numerical methods and data assimilation techniques for partial differential equations. Close cooperation is expected with the "Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research, Supply of Electricity" (SCCER-SoE). Moreover, contributing to the ongoing cooperation of USI with the Swiss Supercomputing Center (CSCS) is desirable
