A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program. Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer software systems that include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as a willingness to learn and use the Blackboard LMS. Responsibilities: The Biomedical Informatics Program seeks adjunct faculty with expertise in the areas of health analytics, healthcare information systems and m-health to teach in the program. Working with the Program Director, the adjunct faculty member provides course instruction and implementation of course activities for BioMedical Informatics classes. Teach undergraduate students enrolled in courses in the BioMedical Informatics Program. The courses are 3.0 credit courses which consists of a 3-hour weekly lectures for the Fall and Spring 2017/18 academic year. Develop instructional materials and deliver classroom instruction according to an approved course syllabus using student-centered teaching methods. Develop lesson plans and on-line content using the Blackboard LMS. Advise and tutor students when required. Maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Program Director.
