Requirements: The postholder will have experience in teaching Norwegian language, with the ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines. It is essential for the postholder to be completely fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a member of a team

The Department of Scandinavian Studies teaches and researches the languages, literature, history, and visual culture of Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden from medieval times to the present day. The postholder will teach Norwegian language classes at undergraduate level (primarily first and second year). She or he will be required to mark and assess work completed for these classes, and to assist in the examination of other Scandinavian-language classes at the discretion of the Head of Department. The successful candidate will be expected to take up the position on 1 September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance but may be renewed.
