Requirements: Completed PhD related to the field of education (or near completion); a publication record that includes peer-reviewed publications; experience with qualitative research approaches and collaborative writing; teaching experience, preferably in the areas of higher education and/or continuing education; knowledge of the Luxembourgish education system and the formal settings of science education in primary schools; fluency in German and English, proficiency in Luxembourgish and French will be considered an advantage

The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire outstanding researchers within its Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education Research Associate with PhD in Educational Sciences (M/F) Réf.: R-AGR-0651-10-C Fixed-term-contract (June 15, 2017-December 31, 2017) Full-time, 40 hrs/week Starting date: June 15, 2017 The post-doctoral researcher position is part of a concept to promote sciences in the Luxembourgish education system co-funded by the FNR, the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Ministry of Education. The successful applicant will be affiliated with the Research Unit "Education, Culture, Cognition and Society" (ECCS) and its Institute for Applied Educational Sciences (AES). The candidate will be working in the field of educational sciences and will contribute to the research program led by Prof. Dr. Christina Siry. This position involves working at the intersection of academia and the greater public through the participation in science education offerings for pre- and in-service teachers.
