Duties: As part of the ATLAS Programme, the Integrated Economic and Traditional Valuations (IETV) project you will have the opportunity to be a part of software development that has the potential to become the new industry standard for Re/insurance. As a P&C Actuary, you will be part of the team providing P&C traditional and non-traditional actuarial/accounting expertise and advice in order to gather all relevant data requirements to help design the integrated valuation engine for P&C business of the Reinsurance Business Unit. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team consisting of Accounting and Actuarial Business Experts, an Information Architect, Business Analysts and Developers
Requirements: Several years P&C actuarial experience - Good understanding of at least one traditional valuation and reserving for P&C business (e.g. US GAAP, Statutory valuations) - Good understanding of at least one economic valuation framework for P&C business (e.g. EVM, Solvency II, IFRS 17, new US GAAP); Proven ability to develop simple and robust solutions for complex problem areas; very strong passion to work in R&D type of environment and open-minded; good communication skills in English - willingness to travel to Walldorf, Germany

As a P&C Actuary, you will be part of the team providing P&C traditional and non-traditional actuarial/accounting expertise and advice in order to gather all relevant data requirements to help design the integrated valuation engine for P&C business of the Reinsurance Business Unit. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team consisting of Accounting and Actuarial Business Experts, an Information Architect, Business Analysts and Developers. The team will be responsible for the design and implementation of an efficient and effective integrated production across all valuations for P&C and L&H (Cross Reinsurance). Primary responsibilities - Communicate documented requirements effectively to SAP and ensure they are implemented as specified with robust testing - Develop end-to-end double entry book keeping approach for all P&C valuations (across all time dimensions) - Support the development of business requirements in the form of Use Cases/Functional requirements to be provided to SAP for cross reinsurance accounting requirements - Working with actuarial stakeholders and building the link to the actuarial models and input data as one of the key data sources to the sub-ledger - Identify and solve dependencies to other functional areas within IETV project - Support the change management process with stakeholders. About the teamThe ATLAS Finance Transformation Programme is a multi-year program, which will significantly enhance the financial accounting and reporting operating model and platform for Finance Reinsurance. Within the program, the Integrated Economic & Traditional Valuations Project (IETV Project) aims to develop and implement a new sub-ledger platform in cooperation with SAP for economic and traditional financial accounting, reporting and steering. The new sub-ledger will cover P&C, L&H and Investment assets and liabilities. About YouSeveral years P&C actuarial experience - Good understanding of at least one traditional valuation and reserving for P&C business (e.g. US GAAP, Statutory valuations) - Good understanding of at least one economic valuation framework for P&C business (e.g. EVM, Solvency II, IFRS 17, new US GAAP) - Proven track record in successfully working in large projects, as well as in cross-functional and -organizational teams - Proven ability to develop simple and robust solutions for complex problem areas; very strong passion to work in R&D type of environment and open-minded - a high degree of personal accountability - strong delivery focus as well as analytical capabilities - good communication skills in English - willingness to travel to Walldorf, Germany.
