Position: Business Analyst - Multi-Valuation Accounting Design

Duties: Member of the Key Design Area (KDA) team responsible for defining the design concepts for industry standard BDA solution. These are: Baseline Accounting, Delta Accounting, Analytics, Simulations, Performance and Booking Model, for both direct insurance and reinsurance, with focus primarily on US GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS; Support providing link between KDAs and final reporting requirements; Collaborate closely with the Use Case teams to ensure that the design concepts are appropriately reflected in the Use Case design; Key input to the development and drafting of the new Accounting Manual for BDA; Ensure that governance and quality standards and policies are adhered to specifically as it relates to the documentation Key Design Areas
Requirements: Qualified actuary, with a minimum 3 years of work experience in accounting role(s) in direct insurance or reinsurance - Hands-on experience of reporting under different valuation frameworks such as: Solvency and US GAAP; plus IFRS, Local/Statutory Valuations/EVM; - Experience working with actuarial and other valuation experts and a good understanding of their approaches and systems (ideally both P&C and L&H); Experienced in working in cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, ideally in a large scale/complex project; good communication skills in English
   
Text: Business Analyst - Multi-Valuation Accounting Design About the roleThe position of Business Analyst - Multi-Valuation Accounting Design will be part of the global multi-disciplinary IETV project team dedicated towards building the future accounting approach, known as the Baseline Delta Approach (BDA). You will be supporting the team responsible for defining the core IETV concepts - the Key Design Areas (KDAs) - across traditional and economic valuations. Close collaboration with Use Case teams, subject matter experts and external vendors, including SAP, is essential in this position. Primary responsibilitiesMember of the Key Design Area (KDA) team responsible for defining the design concepts for industry standard BDA solution. About the teamThe ATLAS Finance Transformation Programme is a multi-year program, which will significantly enhance the financial accounting and reporting capabilities for Finance Reinsurance. Within the program, the Integrated Economic & Traditional Valuations Project (IETV Project) aims to develop and implement a new sub-ledger platform in cooperation with SAP for economic and traditional financial accounting, reporting and steering. The new sub-ledger will cover P&C, L&H and Investment assets and liabilities.
