Position: Enterprise Risk Management Consultant - Aflac Group

Duties: Develops Aflac’s enterprise risk management function to include quantitative and qualitative risk assessment program, facilitating the development of enterprise-wide risk analysis reports, and collaborating with business units on enterprise-wide risk initiatives. Works closely with senior management and serves as business-focused, value-added partner to the business units with respect to enterprise-wide operation risk issues. Coordinates enterprise risk policies, practices and analysis with the Aflac Japan enterprise risk management department to ensure a cohesive and complimentary structure is maintained and communication is consistent across Aflac U.S. and Aflac Japan ERM policies and procedures
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance, accounting, economics, or other relevant business discipline and four years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

The Company Aflac Incorporated The Location Columbus, GA The Division Enterprise Risk Management The Opportunity Enterprise Risk Management Consultant-Aflac Group Principal Duties & Responsibilities Develops Aflac’s enterprise risk management function to include quantitative and qualitative risk assessment program, facilitating the development of enterprise-wide risk analysis reports, and collaborating with business units on enterprise-wide risk initiatives Works closely with senior management and serves as business-focused, value-added partner to the business units with respect to enterprise-wide operation risk issues Coordinates enterprise risk policies, practices and analysis with the Aflac Japan enterprise risk management department to ensure a cohesive and complimentary structure is maintained and communication is consistent across Aflac U.S. and Aflac Japan ERM policies and procedures Develops, analyses, models and implements quantitative risk management methodologies used within Aflac US; participates on cross-functional working groups covering multiple risks areas such as operational risk, market risk, interest rate risk and credit risk Analyzes operational risk events, including the identification of the root cause that has led to their occurrence and helps to develop a remediation plan; evaluates existing risk measurement methodologies and presents results and recommendations to management Provides oversight ensuring that appropriate internal controls and practices are in place, operating effectively, and consistent with the operation risk policy concerning the risk owner’s department Gathers operation risk management data on all matters pertaining to risks facing the firm to communicate to senior management, including researching emerging risk and trends Assists with the development of risk metrics, limits, and tolerances Works closely with other areas of Aflac to embed a culture of risk management practices and problem-solving; recommends best practices; solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions Builds effective working relationships with the key business stakeholders and risk owners; serves as a risk management advisor on key projects/initiatives and provides risk management education to the business units Performs other related duties as required ',' Spread Your Wings We are the Duck.
