The Product Analysis has two main objectives: 1) provide Life Product Management with the necessary data, and management reporting to manage our Life Product portfolio and Inforce, and 2) Conduct detailed analysis to support major product design initiatives and Inforce strategy initiatives. The CVP position will be primarily responsible for 1) Designing and managing the work flow of periodic and ad hoc reports 2) analyzing data and reports to identify trends in the business and areas for future investigation 3) managing the sourcing of data from various internal systems, 4) Conducting in depth studies of specific product features or customer behavior to support product design and Inforce optimization. Reporting and analysis will cover all aspects of product performance and customer behavior.. The CVP will work closely with senior management to design a regular reporting framework, to continually update regular reports to maintain relevance for senior management, and to prioritize and lead Inforce initiatives. The CVP will also interact closely with the other teams within Life Product to assess their data needs, as well as working with Finance, Pricing, IT, and other departments to source accurate data, and provide meaningful analysis in the most efficient way possible. The CVP will work closely with the other analysts, in managing capacity and validating work product. Qualifications Education : BA in statistics, finance, math, economics, accounting, computer science or other quantitative field. MA or MBA a plus. Experience: 4-7 years in insurance, financial services or information technology. Business Knowledge : Strong understanding of Life Insurance products, their purpose and features, required. Experience with Insurance accounting or valuation a plus. Technical : The ideal candidate will have very strong quantitative/analytical skills and significant expertise in using databases and data management. Advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of SQL are a must. Experience with SAS, R, Spotfire or other advanced analytics software preferred. Problem Solving : Able to work on multiple tasks, and manage and prioritize own work. Can work with multiple departments and functions across the company to understand data requirements, and source data appropriately.
