The incumbent will be responsible for supervising the part time assistants and counseling and tutoring the students in the Developmental Studies Laboratory
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Mathematics or related field from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Bachelor Degree in an unrelated field with completion in mathematics courses through Calculus III or equivalent will be considered. One (1) year teaching experience required. Mininum Required Experience One (1) year teaching experience required. Experience using computers and using course management systems and in the management of personnel. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Guide and evaluate students in the laboratory. Communicate with students and faculty. Computer knowledge. Good command of the English language, both oral and written. Good reading and algebra skills. Ability to work with different types of people from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds from foreign countries. Must be able to organize, coordinate, and manage people in an educational environment. Teach Math modules ranging from Pre-Algebra to College Algebra. Teach calculator concepts from scientific to graphing calculators.
