Duties: Preparation, teaching, student consultation, grading and marking, distribution of student evaluation questionnaires, involvement in student appeals, and other duties appropriate to the appointment. All distance (DLCE) courses require completion of current technology orientation from DLCE. Additional Duties: Candidates must also have experience using the Blackboard/Collaborate virtual classroom. Candidates must be willing to participate in additional training in the optimum range of teaching operations in the Moodle LMS and in the Collaborate virtual classroom, if necessary, to reach the required level of competency before the course begins. Candidates must also be sensitive to the needs of distant, mature and part-time learners. Due to distance, the mailing of materials may extend beyond the traditional time frames of the course. Remuneration: Remuneration is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between Mount Saint Vincent University and CUPE 3912 The following is the current stipend schedule contained in the Collective Agreement, including 6% vacation pay. Stipends listed correspond to a full unit (1.0) course. Contract stipends will be prorated according to the course unit value.
