Text: Senior Actuary Chicago, IL Apply Apply with LinkedIn Job Title Senior Actuary Location Chicago, IL Job Details The Senior Actuary is responsible for assisting the VP of LTC Product Management by performing actuarial tasks such as product development, pricing, experience and rate analysis for CNO’s long-term care portfolio. Key Accountabilities - Assist in monitoring LTC market for product, pricing, underwriting and other developments, and in preparing and maintaining competitive analysis; - Prepare and submit reports, surveys, and ad-hoc requests from regulators and research companies including LIMRA; - Supervise preparation of monthly and quarterly reports used for internal purposes; - Oversee preparation and submission of long-term care rate filings, including maintaining and running experience analysis programs, developing necessary exhibits, creating filing materials and responding to insurance department objections; - Perform pricing/profit analysis by using and maintaining pricing models; - Perform claims, lapse, and other experience studies, including developing and maintaining programs to access data on internal company systems, generating reports, and ensuring accuracy and completeness; - Develop and maintain programs used to create projections of in force policies used for rate and profitability analysis; - Work on other ad-hoc assignments in support of Long Term Care Product Management.
