Position: Associate Actuary (Retirement Actuarial Valuation Modeling)

Duties: Perform GAAP valuation and reporting on VOBA and DAC for the Retirement business including assistance with the annual assumption reviews. Perform STAT valuation and reporting on separate account contracts with minimum guarantees (“Regulation 128” contracts). Provide valuation and reporting support for annual cash flow testing and capital requirements across Retirement products Lead and collaborate with various business partners on annual Actuarial Memorandum and statutory filings. Perform analysis and draft year-end Separate Account Memorandum. Define business requirements to model Regulation 128 contracts in a new platform as well as additional requirements to develop a more automated process. Collaborate closely with Model Governance & IT business partners to implement these enhanced models and processes
Requirements: Industry knowledge and 4+ year experience. Knowledge of Retirement products and asset/liability management is preferred. Experience with valuation reporting or actuarial modeling software is preferred. Strong quantitative and communication skills to quickly learn and apply modeling concepts and able to communicate to both actuarial and non-actuarial business partners. Self-motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Word. Bachelor’s degree is required. ASA or near-ASA is preferred
