You will work on the next generation of the symbolic engine math library that will make users in research and engineering even more productive. Design, architecture and development of user-facing features (algorithms and interfaces). Participating in implementation strategy and design reviews with colleagues
Requirements: A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required

Responsibilities In this team, you will design, develop and enhance features that enables users to explore, rewrite and simplify equations, and to compute analytical solutions as well as numeric solutions using variable precision arithmetic. You will work on the next generation of the symbolic engine math library that will make users in research and engineering even more productive. Specifically, you will be responsible for: Design, architecture and development of user-facing features (algorithms and interfaces) Writing clean, carefully crafted, well-tested code Participating in implementation strategy and design reviews with colleagues Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required. Additional Qualifications Solid background in mathematics, especially computer algebra and computational mathematics 5 years’ experience in an objected-oriented or functional programming language (e.g., C++, MATLAB) Experience developing and implementing mathematical algorithms Experience with symbolic math systems Experience with MATLAB Symbolic Math Toolbox, Mathematica, or Maple Why MathWorks?
