Position: W3-Professorship for Algebra and Geometry

Duties: The successful appointee is expected to contribute significantly to GRK 2229 "Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces", to provide an attractive course offering in the area of algebra and geometry, to share other teaching and service responsibilities of the institute, to supervise the student-teacher program in cooperation with the Didactics group, and to take part in the collegial governance of the institute. The language of instruction for the basic undergraduate courses is German

The Institute of Algebra and Geometry (IAG) within Division V - Mathematics and Physics - at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, invites applications for a W3-Professorship for Algebra and Geometry The anticipated starting date is 1st April 2018. Internationally recognized experts in the area of algebra / geometry are invited to apply. Preference will be given to candidates whose research lies at the interface of algebra and the main topics of the DFG Graduate School GRK 2229 "Asymptotic Invariants and Limits of Groups and Spaces", a collaboration between KIT and Heidelberg University.
