Text: Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development (CSDD) is an academic, multi-disciplinary, nonprofit research group at Tufts University. Tufts CSDD develops and presents strategic information to help drug developers, regulators, and policy makers improve the quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical development, review and utilization. Research assistance in a non-laboratory, academic research center, to collect, verify, input, and analyze data, report on results, and work both independently and with senior staff on projects as assigned. Essential Functions: • Act as a co-investigator on research grants and commissioned projects, involving background reading and literature review, survey and database design, collecting and organizing data, data analysis and reporting results. Respond to requests for information from colleagues, sponsors, and collaborators as directed by supervising senior fellow or CSDD administrator. • Update cumulative databases and create new project databases. Extract data from commercial and government datasets. Create tables and figures for CSDD publications and presentations by senior research fellows. Initiate and maintain contact with academic, government, and industry personnel. • Conduct surveys, including follow-up on survey completion. Conduct interviews. Assist in developing and presenting reports. Create slide presentations for senior research fellows. Work collaboratively with internal and external advisory groups and teams. • Edit, review, and draft manuscripts. • Maintain working knowledge in scientific, legal, and economic aspects of drug development, by reading industry trade sheets and other publications.
