Position: Lawyer

Duties: You will assist with the provision of high-quality legal work with a focus on intellectual property (particularly copyright and/or trademarks)/employment law/grievances/discrimination law/administrative law and privacy. This will include reviewing and drafting agreements, facilitating the resolution of conflicts and disputes, assessing legal risk and providing independent advice to university decision makers. This role will have a particular focus on Teaching, Learning and Engagement. To develop, maintain and remediate where necessary, effective working relationships with Academic Divisions and Chancellery to ensure high quality and timely service delivery
Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in (Law) (LLB). Legal Practicing Certificate. Experience and expertise in provision of legal services across large and complex organisation. Service Orientated: efficient and effective delivery of commercially and pragmatic useful and relevant advice. Team Orientated: ability to work co-operatively and effectively within a team, as well as autonomously as required
