Position: Sr Actuarial Assoc

Duties: Deliver modeling and analytics for Embedded Value reporting, including analysis of movement and value of new business. Deliver modeling for Asset Liability Management, ORSA and other financial analytics; Demonstrate a strong understanding and working knowledge regarding technical aspects of actuarial modeling, being able to recommend and design modeling solutions and process improvements; Maintain the integrity of the models, ensuring the modeling framework is robust, sustainable, accurate and effective in capturing material aspects of the business; Ensure accuracy of information and output delivered, possessing sufficient knowledge and intuition to be able to independently verify model results; Build relationships and establish a high level of trust and credibility within RP Actuarial, RP Finance, senior business management and Corporate Actuarial, by providing quality information and insight to influence decision making

The RP business has been identified as a significant growth component of the future for The Standard. The current need is for an actuary with modeling experience for a new role within the RP Actuarial practice. Reporting to the Director, Product Management and Development, this role will be responsible for the development, validation and maintenance of risk and valuation models for the RP business.
